Beyond Baroque bookstore offers a wide selection of new, used and rare poetry and related literature
Housed in the famed Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center - Beyond Baroque's bookstore, aka "The Scott Wannberg Bookstore and Poetry Lounge" (in memory of the late poet - a great friend to Beyond Baroque), sells new and overlooked poetry, fiction, small press books, self-published chapbooks, 'zines as well as used and out-of-print poetry volumes, novels, and art books. With a focus on the Venice beats and other local poets, the bookstore boasts the largest collection of poetry books in Los Angeles and is one of the last surviving independent bookstores in the city. The store provides a nice table for study and review of the books and is run by a delightful and knowledgable staff. Hours coincide with the center's weekend events. Proceeds from book sales go to support Beyond Baroque programming.
