Precision Property Measurements (PPM) is a full service on-site measuring and CAD drafting firm, specializing in the creation of “as-built” site plans and floor plans, which depict the current state of a building or site.

Based in Long Beach, California, PPM is currently serving all of the greater LA / Orange County areas. We also take on projects in San Diego and Ventura Counties. Our clients include a wide range of landscape, architectural and real-estate professionals, as well as property owners that need accurate plans of their homes or commercial buildings. We serve everyone from sole proprietor landscape architects that only do a project every couple of months, to large companies that have a dozen projects a week.

How long have you been in business?
Since 2002.
What is your primary product or service?
As-Built measuring services, which involves measuring and documenting the conditions of existing buildings and properties, then creating accurate plans which show these conditions.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I graduated from Berkeley with a finance degree and starting in investment banking, but wasn't satisfied with the career path. A good friend had started this business so I became partners with him in 2002, then bought out his share in 2005.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We only do As-Builts, and we are specialists. Many of our competitors are from other industries such as land surveying and architecture, so they aren't as focused or efficient at providing As-Built architectural plans.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are based in Long Beach, and we currently serve all of all of the greater LA/OC area. We plan to expand to San Diego and Ventura/SB counties in the next 3 years, then to the Bay Area in 5-6 years.
