Mission: The mission of Young Horizons Child Development Centers is to provide quality childcare and preschool programs to children of low-income families in a caring, loving and learning environment. It is all about the children and giving them the love, learning and understanding of appropriate social behavior that builds self-confidence and leads to future successes.
Programs: We care for and educate 587 children each day, at our 6 centers. Our 3 childcare centers operate from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday – Friday, and provide subsidized care to 180 infants, toddlers & preschoolers. Our Preschool enrichment program (free to qualifying families) is provided at three sites and teaches 407 children. In addition to caring for children, we prepare them to enter kindergarten excited about life and, ready to learn.
Our affordable (subsidized) childcare makes it possible for low-income parents to go to work knowing their child is well cared for.
