How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Initially, a group of Pasadena-area families came together to form a school that would provide a classical education and a Catholic education in conformity with the Church's Magisterium.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We place significant emphasis on religious instruction and creating a faith-filled enviornment. The academic instruction is classical in nature, following the traditional trivium. Latin is part of the curriculum in all grades.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are located in the school building behind Holy Redeemer Parish in Montrose. Our enrollment has increased from 95 in 2006-2007 to 201 in 2011-2012. The current enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year is 250.

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
St. Monica Academy is a non-profit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is governed by a Board of Directors which employs a Headmaster who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school.
