How long have you been in business?
42 years as a California Corporation.
What is your primary product or service?
Precision imaging products to support various testing activities that occur too fast for the eye to see or observe with conventional film and video cameras. Products include; High intensity LED lights for high speed camera applications. Hi-g and adjustable camera mounts, Hi-g Tungten-Halogen lights.Very high intensity Xenonlights. Protective camera enclosures. Customers are Government, military, aerospace,automotive crash testing, university scientific and engineering
researchers etc. These activities use digital video cameras at speeds up to 100,000 frames per second and faster.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My educational background is training in commercial photography. Thereafter 3 year in the Army as a motion picture cameraman and 15 years in the aerospace industry as a high-speed photographer on many diverse programs including project Apollo and Saturn-II 2nd stage rocket, Space Shuttle etc.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Training and varied experience in technical imaging used in testing aircraft, space craft, automotive crash testing etc. These are all related for the purpose of gathering scientific and engineering data that applies to product design and development.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location. We also use independent sales representatives both domestic and international. In addition to sales in the USA our products are sold in; Canada, UK, Europe, South Africa, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Taiwan, Brasil etc.
